Binance flips to roughly $2B in daily net inflows as post-hack withdrawals cool

After days of heavy withdrawals following its $6.3 billion hack, Binance recorded about $1.8 billion to $2.3 billion in 24-hour net inflows, leading centralized exchanges.

Money is flowing back into Binance. DefiLlama data showed the exchange took in about $1.82 billion in net inflows over the 24 hours ending 09:29 UTC on Nov 3, and a later reading put the figure near $2.3 billion.
It is the first time Binance's 24-hour net flow has turned positive since withdrawals reopened on Nov 1. Just a day earlier, the exchange was showing more than $7 billion in 24-hour net outflows.
Key takeaways
- 24-hour flows: Net inflows of roughly $1.82 billion to $2.3 billion depending on the snapshot, the most among centralized exchanges.
- Exchange signal: Binance said hourly deposits had exceeded withdrawals by 03:00 UTC on Nov 3.
- Seven-day picture: Net outflows still stand around $11.83 billion, so one positive day has not reversed the week.
- Recovery: About 95% of hacked assets have been replaced, with BTC, ETH, USDT and BNB reported fully backed.
- Pyongyang's denial: North Korea rejected the FBI's attribution of the attack.
From a rush for the exits to net deposits
Binance began restoring withdrawals in phases at 06:00 UTC on Nov 1. In the first 9.5 hours, it processed about $4.65 billion in withdrawals against roughly $1.01 billion in deposits.
According to an hourly chart Binance published, total withdrawals from the reopening through 04:00 UTC on Nov 3 came to about $10.97 billion. Deposits over the same stretch were about $5.7 billion, leaving net outflows of roughly $5.28 billion.

The heaviest hour came at 08:00 UTC on Nov 1, when withdrawals hit about $1.24 billion. The gap narrowed after that, with six hours of net deposits across Nov 2 and early Nov 3.
- 03:00 UTC, Nov 3: About $193 million deposited versus $183 million withdrawn.
- 09:29 UTC, Nov 3: DefiLlama showed $1.82 billion in 24-hour net inflows, with tracked assets near $127.7 billion.
- Later update: The 24-hour figure rose to about $2.3 billion, per Cointelegraph citing DefiLlama.
Other exchanges and the hack
Over the same 24 hours, Bitfinex drew about $280 million in net inflows and Bitget about $127 million. A day earlier, OKX had led with roughly $445 million as users moved funds away from Binance.
Binance has pledged to cover all losses from company funds and its SAFU reserve rather than pass them to users. The remaining 5% consists of less liquid tokens that it is buying through market and OTC purchases.
On the investigation, the FBI attributed the hack to North Korea on Oct 31. On Nov 3, Kim Yo Jong, sister of leader Kim Jong Un, dismissed the allegation as "absurd rhetoric."
What it means for crypto markets
Bitcoin is trading near $77,000, down about 0.9% over 24 hours, as spot ETF outflows keep sentiment under pressure. Binance no longer bleeding capital removes one of the market's major overhangs from the past week.
- Bull case: Net deposits persist for several more days and an updated proof-of-reserves report confirms full backing, rebuilding trust in the venue.
- Risk case: The inflow proves to be a one-day blip while seven-day outflows remain near $11.8 billion and fresh exploits keep surfacing.
Keep in mind that net flows are measured on a rolling 24-hour window, so readings shift with each snapshot and say little about the longer trend.
What to watch next
- Further Binance withdrawal phases covering more networks and assets.
- An updated proof-of-reserves report and progress on the remaining 5% of assets.
- The next session of spot Bitcoin ETF flows after a run of outflows.
- Price swings and liquidations on real-time liquidations, plus macro dates on the economic calendar.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do $2 billion in net inflows mean users stopped withdrawing?
No. Users are still withdrawing, but total deposits over 24 hours have exceeded total withdrawals.
Why do sources cite different figures ($1.82 billion vs. $2.3 billion)?
DefiLlama measures flows on a rolling 24-hour window, so snapshots taken at different times produce different totals.
Have Binance users been made whole?
Binance says about 95% of affected assets have been replaced and major coins are fully backed. The rest are illiquid tokens still being bought back.
