POC, VAH and VAL explained
Point of Control – the price with the most volume
Quick definition: POC (Point of Control) is the price with the most traded volume over a period (for example one day).
Together with VAL / VAH (the low / high edges of the range holding about 70% of volume), it describes where price traded the most.
💡 Example
During the day BTC trades from 98,000 to 102,000, but volume concentrates most at 100,400 → the POC is 100,400; about 70% of volume sits between 99,600 (VAL) and 101,200 (VAH).
