US CPI – September: Wednesday 14/10/2026 at 19:30 GMT+7

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is the most important measure of US inflation, published monthly by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Markets compare the actual figure with analysts' forecasts, for both headline CPI and core CPI (excluding food and energy).

A higher-than-expected CPI makes markets worry that the Fed will keep rates higher for longer, which usually weighs on Bitcoin and altcoins. A lower-than-expected CPI strengthens expectations of rate cuts, which usually supports risk assets. Crypto prices often swing sharply in the 15–30 minutes after the release.

Higher-than-expected inflation usually weighs on crypto.
